![]() That was not the case with our tour in Paris! We got to try amazing croissants, crepes, chocolates and sweets, meats and cheeses, soups, and other savory dishes. On some of our previous food tours, we ended a little hungry as often times it's a few stops with a few small bites at each. Getting to go to so many different places we had a huge variety of food. We had so much fun with her and can't say enough good things about our experience with her. It felt like we were meeting up with an old friend who was showing us around her town and sharing with us all her favorite places. Through the entire tour Jess was amazing. After our tour Jess provided an awesome list of recommendations and all of those that we visited turned out to be very good. Not only did we get to experience great food and wine (which I'll get to) but along the way Jess helped us to learn more of our basic French, and help us to better understand the city, its people, and it's history. We met Jess at 10am and went to 8 different places through La Maris over the next several hours. Compared to those, our experience in Paris was by far one of the best. We have been on several food and other walking/city/wine tours through the years in many different places. They were awesome so I'd definitely suggest doing the tour earlier in your trip so you can take full advantage of the list she gives you! When the tour ended, we were having so much fun we literally wanted Jess to hang out with us for the rest of the day! After the tour, Jess also gave us a huge list of suggestions of other bars and restaurants to visit. Jess also catered the tour towards all of us, asking what interested us so she could give us more information. I learned so much about the traditional processes of making bread and cheese and wine in France, and the ways things changed as a result of different historical periods. She was able to speak about both the history of Paris and the history of food in France in an extremely compelling way. She is so passionate, knowledgable, and friendly, and immediately made the whole group feel comfortable. Part of the reason why we loved the tour so much, was because of Jess. ![]() Devour also does not skimp on the tastings!! We left the tour feeling so full and satisfied- definitely enough food for both breakfast and lunch. All of the stops were populated by locals, and taught us about Paris and its food culture and history. There was a chocolate shop that my friend and I loved so much (it was seriously the best chocolate we have ever had) that we went back immediately after the tour to buy more for ourselves and our families. Jess brought us to amazing places that we never would have stumbled upon on our own even though we were staying in Le Marais. The tour was perfectly staggered and was a lovely mix of both savory and sweet snacks. Our tour guide, Jess, carefully curated the tour so as to bring us to a variety of authentic Parisian shops and restaurants in the Le Marais district. I cannot say enough good things about this tour! It was truly one of the highlights of our time in Paris.
